Just talked to a guy who doesn't care about disk encryption, but instead set the boot password on BIOS, saying he's got nothing to hide and cares more about the laptop itself. He told me that EFI on his system doesn't depend on the power source (so, password stored in non-volatile memory). Now I'm wondering if this is actually secure (considering the disk contains no important data). 🤔 #infosec
tfw the main developer of the lessons schedule app of your uni converts the native app to a shitty WebView with the browser version of their app
There is no English localization, the app is now sluggish at startup. It used to work great and it also used to be translated to English. RIP. 😔

While OMEMO with HTTP Upload allows you to send any files by just encrypting them with AES-GCM, uploading them to the designated HTTP server and then just sending a link with the key in a message (no extra work needed, everything is done seamlessly), these guys are stuck implementing SI instead: https://github.com/coyim/coyim/issues/383
That's what happens when you pick an ancient technology instead of the one that works.
